Now: The J-Church travels south down Church Street, but why would you want to wait for it when you could walk? This tree-lined stretch is pretty any day of the year.

Then: St. Paul's Church, built in the English Gothic style, was completed in 1911.

How To Get There: The J-Church Muni line travels all the way down Church Street. It also connects with the Noe Valley section of 24th Street, and runs close to Mission Street, where the J-train makes a hairpin turn at 30th Street.
